Sometimes the mind goes on a trip and from the mind's eye, emerges pictures rosy, honey sweet and perfectly practical.

What if...

The mind plays games and treads dangerous grounds. Games that I want to try and play. Games that I hope I will win.

What if...

The heart interrupts for awhile and chides the mind... are you crazy? The mind rears its head and stands its ground.

What if...

Life, for the mind, is beyond the reach. It is scattered with wants, needs, achievement and fulfillment. Nothing extraordinary.

What if...

The heart looks around for reasons to believe, for hope to hold on to... finds none. And extends a quivering hand towards the mind.

Only if.

There are always two sides of the same life, two ways we see things and two aspects of the life i know. One which i live with my head, which i live for the world, which knows only good and bad, right and wrong, which will help me to survive, which helps me to rationalise issues and move on.While the other is to live with my heart, well,it only knows happiness and tears, pain and joy,it makes me emotional, sensitive,it makes me live for myself.
And as always i only try to have a balance between the two and till now i failed,my hear always wins over my head:)
Only if...

the head won't rest my dear....it will give the heart a hard time till you venture forth in the no-no direction...

The grass is always greener on the other side except sometimes you get there and find out they have the same crappy lawn that you do.

hope reason prevails. its sometimes too tempting to give in to temptation, but the heady feelings of pleasure met can lead to a lot remorse latr. I liked the way you reversed the preceived roles of the mind and the heart, its usu the heart, which is perceived as the frisky one.

uve posted a great last few poists. kudos.

neels: I need to take some lessons from you. You speak wisely.

gratis: You are right. I need to at least give the head a chance. That's a beautiful quote. Thanks.

mint chutney: I guess you are right. But there's always the niggling thought, "what if"...

sudipta: As long as it just keeps me ticking and not drive me senile!

ajay: Thanks. Seeing you around after ages. Yes, hope reason prevails. But I am often perceived as unreasonable!

sanguine: Thanks, I guess I will. I hope the heart doesn't let me down.

nupur: Wow! Will check the recipe immediately. Am collecting quite a lot of them. I am going to turn wonder cook very soon!
