A Black Sunday.

What has happened has happened.

I hope the concerned authorities take sufficient precautions to avoid the loss of precious human lives further.

Let the warnings be given.

Let the drills be undertaken.

Let the educated spread their knowledge.

Let the value of human lives be understood.

Let at least an effort be made.

God, Thy Will be done. Give us the strength to accept it.

Black Sunday indeed! Man still lives on a feeling on smugness and incidents like these force us to realize that we are nothing but ant like entities before the might of nature!

truly a horrifying time. it's terrible for everyone involved, but we cannot now, nor have we ever been able to, predict the strength and power of mother nature. perhaps she issues a warning, perhaps a lesson, perhaps nothing. but whatever she meant by it, it's a terrible terrible day in history.

Sinful: You are right. None can really predict. Just gets you frustrated and helpless when you hear reports saying, there are ways to detect tsunamis, which they do in Japan. Also now they say, there has been a series of earthquakes since 22nd Dec. At least a warning to stay away from the beach would have saved so many lives... but like you said... nature has its own ways.

Quadros: First time visitor here. Yes, these incidents make us realise the fragility of human lives and the futility of a lot of things.
