studytime

Caught this boy immersed deep in his school books on the foothpath in front of the bank. Such dedication amidst the noise and the busy road! It made me capture the scene with my phone camera. Posted by Picasa

atul: Hey, I didn't really think of it as a prison but thanks for pointing it out. In hindsight, yes, he was in his own world, cut off from the world and nobody could reach him.

manoj:
1. I already zoomed in 8x and took the picture from the far end of the road. But school book it is, the other pictures show it clearly.
2. It's a humble 1.2megapixel on an instrument which I use as a phone (motorazr v3i).
3. Thanks.

mukta: Thanks. Something chandrika said about everything looking beautiful and good when one is in love :)

grey shades: Thank you.

suraj: Thanks. I tried.

parmanu: Now that I am not sure of :) I had Archies.
But , mukta, :

It's heartwarming to see a kid reading a book without anyone prodding him to do so. Usually, kids prefer play over study but this boy is deeply engaged in the book. I bet he'd grow successful because he knows his priorities. BTW, I like the way you composed the pic.

vibhor: Welcome and thanks.

ganga: Thanks ganga, and Atul as usual find a whole new angle :)

monk15ad: Okay, cut out the sarcasm, but isn't it a amusing sight? I love the motorazr now after initially being unfortable even holding it (happens after you have used a nokia for donkey's years). Now they have different colours too.

abaniko: Welcome and thanks for appreciating the pic. I hope the kid indeed grows successful. I can then at least claim to have taken a candid shot of him as a diligent child.

sudipta: How you doing? Coping... enjoying?

Am reminded of another youngster whom I caught reading at the bus stop the other day, even as he was waiting for the bus. Some times I feel life is beng unfair to them. But I guess, thats the way the world is fast turning out to be!

Hmmm...intersting pic. Notice how he's crossing his legs. Just a wild guess here, does anyone else thinks he could be hiding a boner, and echoing 'parmanu's comment, I wonder whats in the book as well...lol...nice post, good blog thanks for the fun read.

It sure is a good picture. I told you that already. I hope you start having more visuals in your blogs, though your writing is as good as a graphic display.
Thanks for the advice on the phone, I just found out that I will have to pay a fortune to upgrade and they are also going to charge me activation fees on top.

Don't know many models. Know more in Motorola products due to a friend working at Motorola.

velu nair: Welcome. Here in bombay you have people young and old reading at busstops all the time :) During exams some kids are even mugging while walking to school!

abhishek: I wish I could have given you a better resolution for that :)

sudipta: I saw that. Have fun and keep writing all about it.

bips: Yes, you are right. Kids in bbay behave like their lives depended on reading their school books! The way they are at it everywhere!

prat: Thank you so much.

alapana: :) Does it? Actually I watched him for a long time. And then when I looked the other way distracted for a second, I paid the price. He was gone.

manny: Welcome and thanks. Now what he had inside the innocent looking brown covered book I am not too sure of. But he sure had a good look of concentration on his little face :)

monk15ad: One phone is as good as another. Dont waste your money if you dont want to.

arunima: I have had it for a long time now but still haven't learnt how to use it in all its glory.
