Am I right?

Last night, or I think it was very early morning, lightning and thunderous rain woke me up.

"Oh SHIT!!!" I am capable of swearing even when half awake.

The clothes! I had washed almost everything in the house at night and hung out the slightly damp threads, in the merry sky to dry.

I ran to the window and walked out. I was soaked in an instant. Lightning struck followed by thunder and I skipped inside dripping water into the bedroom. Don't want to risk life for miserable bed sheets and towels and a man's t-shirts. No, thank you.

"Oh shit!" I realised he's managed to coolly take over my side of the bed (and no, he never managed to wake up for the clothes). On other days, no amount of shoving, cruel nudging or tickling can wake up the sleeping beauty or make him move to give me little space on my side.

All I had to do was place my wet self in his arms and the beauty sprang away to his own side. I was thrilled. Vicious delight took over. I moved a wet hand gently over the sleeping face. He sneezed twice. I waited. I repeated it and made him sneeze again. Then I changed into dry clothes, lay down and pulled a cheek with a dry hand. No reaction.

If only I wasn't so particular about my right side of the bed.

Anumita... Looks like you are blessed with a very very understanding and soft tempered 'sleepin beauty' of a hubby! :)) Good for you :)
In the middle of his sleep, he tolerated all those things you did! :) Maybe marriage forces a man into 'sweet surrender', to his woman! Guess i havta wait for quite a long time to really get a hang of this post :)))
jussss kidddingggg

Don't know of many people who have left the right side of the bed.

"First one to comment..." on 'a few seasons worth' seem's to be bullish.

akruti: Wet clothes in the house is a complete no-no, considering the size of our houses here. It's either clothes or us in the rooms! Since I am writing at night, I guess it's corresponding to your time of blogging too. :)

johnny boy: Yes, I have been blessed with a hubby who can sleep for days and NOTHING disturbs him while he's at it! Not even holding nose tightly shut till he chokes, or taking off the bedsheets from underneath!

atul sabnis: The right side is where I get my best sleep :)

nupur: Not really. If he knew he would take deadly revenge.

kahini: You bet it is! When I am taking it.

transience: Thank you. I hope he feels the same.

subs: Hey, am good! Read somewhere you were vacationing in Africa! Lucky lucky you!!

rat: Yes, I am really sweet.

chakra: No. Should be be chilled or normal and what are the consequences?

hope and love: Glad you feel that way.

swathi: Hehehe! As romantic as a dead asleep person and a fighting for own space evil person could get!

stone: Must give your wife a few more tips!

sudipta: I take the cake for laziness in a lot of things. But since I am the one hauling the heavy washing out of the machine and hanging it straight (with matching clips) to dry, I am conditioned to panic even in sleep.

pallavi: You know, his dreams are all so lofty, he would imagine himself sneezing in the cool climes of the Alps instead.

amitken: Is it really?

nish: But the Sania-Maria match got over in less than an hour. And it rained the night before at 5am. So I missed being awake.

ragnar: Welcome. Thank you, I am a fair person, you know. Always give everyone their due.

twilight fairy: Ah, that's sounds like an incentive. But will never work with people who grab a foot when you offer an inch.

rash: Have you tried prying the eyelids open and staring at the eyeballs?

khushee: :)
